Dr. Arbi Mirzaians (QME)
Dr. Arbi Mirzaians is a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) appointed by the State of California.
QME’s are qualified physicians who are certified by the Division of Workers’ Compensation – Medical Unit to examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports. The reports are used to determine an injured worker’s eligibility for workers’ compensation benefits
Arbi Mirzaians, D.C. proudly serves this role. It is the responsibility of the QME to timely issue reports to expedite patient care and benefits as may be appropriate. He is well experienced with the reporting duties of the QME and well versed in the AMA Guides, 5th Edition.
Under California Penal Code Section 550 (a)(1), it is unlawful to “knowingly present or cause to be presented any false or fraudulent claim for the payment of a loss or injury, including payment of a loss or injury under a contract of insurance”. Anyone who violates this subsection is guilty of a felony, punishable, as specified in section 550(c)(1), by: “Imprisonment in the State Prison for 2, 3, or 5 years; and a fine not exceeding $50,000 or double the amount of the fraud, whichever is greater.
